Things you should prepare before the removalists arrive

• Pack in correct removalist boxes

• Have a clear pathway toward your house, also inside and around your house

• Plastic protect your mattress and base

• Tie loose power cords on all electrical appliances

• Take light bulbs and lamp shades off and pack securely in a box labelled top load only

• Make sure everything that fits in a box, goes in a box

• Tape together in bundles long handled tools, e.g. brooms, shovels, rakes, mops

• Bubble wrap pictures and fragile items

• Have a space organised for the truck when it arrives

• Do not water your pot plants the day before moving

• Wrap garbage bags over your pot plant top soil to avoid spillage
